5. Probably the best American shoegaze group and the case could be made for being one of the best post-My Bloody Valentine groups. The influence of Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, and The Jesus and Mary Chain are obviously there and flaunted but the lo-fi beauty and noise of Skywave is something only the successor groups now possess: Ceremony and A Place to Bury Strangers.
